Cast
SynopsisFaced with a family gathering, the world-weary Stephen does his best to be difficult. When his daughter, her dreary husband Alan, their precocious child and not least the dog come to stay for the weekend it's enough to make him reach for the whisky, and sarcasm. ReviewsTelegraph and Argus - Sue Butterfield "Stephen, (played by Stephen Brown) is a Victor Meldrew, complaining loud and long and claiming no-one tells him anything ....." "His long suffering wife, Virginia (Brenda Bell) is attractive, classy and delighted to have a diversion from her husband who grumbles constantly into a large Scotch ....." "And we all know an Alan, played to boring perfection by Brad Moxon. He knows the number of every road and intersection on the route to your home - although even he has hidden depths." "The nine strong cast all put in praiseworthy performances. There were laugh out loud moments but not enough for a comedy. I expected more from the pen of Michael Palin." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
