Ian Atkinson
Peter in Month of Sundays and Chief Warden Hodges in Dad's Army
Ian has appeared many times on the BLT stage and will be known to regular theatre-goers. His latest performances include John the footman in Jane Eyre, and an Immigration Officer in A View from the Bridge. Ian is also a valuable member of the workshop.

Mr Wickham in Pride and Prejudice
This is Dean’s first play with BLT since playing Lucentio in the Taming of the Shrew in December 2007. His debut for Bingley was as Culpepper in Katherine Howard October 2006, the play presented for the Little Theatre Guild (northern region) weekend. Credits include various theatre and TV appearances: he was the paramedic in two episodes of Emmerdale and a submarine crewman in the ITV drama Ghostboat with David Jason. Dean completed a two year course in Performing Arts at Bradford College 2001/3.

Miss Bingley in Pride and Prejudice
Another Kaleidoscope graduate transfering to the main house. Lucy has been accepted to Central School of Acting in London for her degree course.
Sam Ball
Clarissa Hailsham-Brown in Spider's web
The multi-talented Sam Ball has appeared on stages throughout the district, delighting audiences with her acting, singing and dancing. Her association with Bingley goes back a long way, appearing with BLT and frequently with Bingley Amateurs in musical productions. Her last appearance at BLT was in the title role in Victor/Victoria. She has also appeared as Mabel in Mack and Mabel, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie and most recently as Nellie in Bingley Amateurs’ production of South Pacific.

Captain Denny in Pride and Prejudice also Serviceman in Dad's Army
Tom is a member of Kaleidoscope, his last appearance with them in The Beggar’s Opera, and he was on main stage in Pride and Prejudice in February.

Hill in Pride and Prejudice also Private Godfrey in Dad's Army
This will be Peter’s 21st performance at BLT. He was last seen in Pride and Prejudice and he stage managed Underground. He is very active with Baildon Players.
Stephen Blundell
Michael Preston in Underground and Charles Bingley in Pride and Prejudice
Stephen’s first acting role with BLT was as Smokey in Bad Blood, his latest being Michael Preston in Underground, October 2009. Apart from acting Stephen has brought his considerable expertise to the lighting and effects department having worked on Something’s Afoot, Dead Funny , Night of the Iguana and latterly as the lighting designer for Present Laughter, June 2009.

Tramp in Underground
A regular behind the scenes as Effects Manager, Jim is also no stranger in front of the footlights, last being seen on stage here as Constable Downs in Tom, Dick and Harry.

Mr Yeatman the Verger in Dad's Army
Since appearing in The Night of the Iguana Mark has played several parts and was recently seen in last season’s Present Laughter. He is a member of the Reading and Casting Committee.
Jackie Campbell
Julia in Month of Sundays
Jackie is new to BLT’s stage but comes with a wonderful pedigree in musicals. For 10 years she was heavily involved in the Guiseley Youth Theatre, but more recently has appeared on the Ilkley Playhouse theatre. In fact she worked there on Straight and Narrow with her now director, Robin Martin.
Haydn Cavanagh
Gordon in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
Haydn has directed and acted in numerous BLT productions over a long period time, most recently on the BLT stage in his hilarious impersonation of Harry Kerwood in the hit comedy Tom, Dick and Harry. Haydn lives in Harden and is a keen member of Harden Horticultural Society and opened his garden in July this year in support of Manorlands.

Nurse Wilson in Month of Sundays
Rhiannon, although fairly new to BLT has established her credentials as a talented actress with her last role at this theatre as the long suffering wife in Tom, Dick and Harry. Her other appearances on our stage were in the plays, Taming of the Shrew, and the unforgettable, Ladies’ Day.

Henry Hailsham-Brown in Spider's Web
Another of our prolific actors, Paul has been involved in over 150 plays. He also directs and produces many plays in and around the area. His most recent appearance for BLT was as Garry Essendine in Present Laughter. Previously he had appeared in Much Ado about Nothing, Pygmalion, and Katherine Howard.

Thelma in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
An experienced and much sought after local actress who has performed at Bradford Playhouse and with experimental theatre group "The Silverhammer", playing Mephistopheles in Faust and Barbara Streisand in For Sale. Her last BLT role was as Susan in Good Things. Sandra is married to popular local actor, Paul Chewins.

Mrs Fox in Dad's Army
Helen has been involved in amateur theatre for over 25 years, acting, choreographing and directing for many societies. She last appeared at Bingley as Grace Poole in Jane Eyre.
Howard Clements
Barry in Lust in The Dust and Private Walker in Dad's Army
Howard has been a regular on stage for BLT over the past few years appearing in Season's Greetings, Out of Order, 'Allo 'Allo and Wait Until Dark. This season he will also be appearing in Kick in the Baubles for Keighley Playhouse. He continues to appear with the Dial M for Murder Company along with Director Richard Walsh and other members of the cast.

Elizabeth in Lust in The Dust and Director Pride and Prejudice
Jan needs no introduction to the regular BLT patrons. An accomplished actress whose most recent BLT appearance was as Elizabeth in Lust in the Dust in September 2009. Currently, making her mark as a director having directed Jane Eyre in March 2009 and now Pride and Prejudice. Jan completes her year as Vice Chairman in May 2010 when she takes over as Chairman from Phil Holbrough.

Felicity Allender in Underground
June is a past BLT Chairman and a regular on stage both here and at Keighley Playhouse. A versatile servant of BLT, June was also involved in producing the memorable costumes for Kaleidoscope's recent production of The Boyfriend.
David Elliott
U-Boat Captain in Dad's Army
We first saw David at Bingley in Death of a Salesman, latterly in Jane Eyre. He is very involved with the Great Horton Theatre Company.
Frank Etchells
Guard in Underground
Frank’s first appearance for BLT was in A View from the Bridge in 2006. Since then has become a familiar face at BLT including a highly praised performance as Hortensio in our 60th Season gala production of The Taming of the Shrew.
Jason Evens
Bill Fellows in Underground and Guy Fitzwilliam in Pride and Predjudice
Jason works behind the scenes in our technical department at BLT running both lighting and effects as well as appearing in plays. Most recently played Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre and Nigel Rancour in Something's Afoot.
Julian Freeman
Asst. Director in Lust in The Dust, Dr Alex Farquhar in Mindgames and Captain Mainwaring in Dad's Army
Julian is well known to BLT audiences as a fine actor of great versatility. In August 2009 Julian made his directing debut as assistant to Gilly Rogers in Lust in the Dust, taking over the helm for a couple of weeks whilst Gilly was in the USA. Having enjoyed the experience, he may venture down that route again some day. Currently Julian is a member of BLT’s Reading and Casting Committee.
Katy Gaul
Gwyneth (pianist) in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
Katy studied music and ethnomusicality at Durham University and has composed and directed music for many theatre productions including A Midsummer Night's Dream and Canterbury Tales for Kaleidoscope and musical accompaniment for the main house production of Something's Afoot.
Tanya Gillow
Lydia Bennet in Pride and Prejudice
This young actress is a talented member of Kaleidoscope. Having enjoyed performing in Dracula Spectacula and playing Peaseblossom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nancy in The Boyfriend and Chaunticleer in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, she now makes her debut on the main house stage. She is also a gifted musician playing flute in the Bradford Youth Orchestra and Bradford Youth Wind Orchestra. It becomes a family affair when her mother lends a hand not only doing props for Kaleidoscope but occasionally for BLT productions.

Director F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
Rosemary, who taught English and Drama at Bradford Girls Grammar School, has for the last six years been responsible for our youth drama group, Kaleidoscope. She directed our recent main house productions of Katherine Howard and Ladies in Retirement and has been involved in other ways including ASM, prompt and props.

This is Claire’s first appearance on the main house stage. She is one of our junior actors with experience helping with props.

Lady Catherine De Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice
Pam is delighted to be involved in her first production for BLT. However, she has a wealth of experience over many years with amateur theatre in different areas of the country, playing a variety of roles. An early experience was with Liverpool’s Shakespeare Players which was followed by ten happy years with Bradford Civic Playhouse where her favourite roles included Marsha in The Three Sisters and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Pam moved to Yorkshire in 2009 to be closer to her family.

We are pleased to welcome back Peter, who last appeared for BLT in Victor/Victoria in 2005, along with Sam Ball and Phil Holbrough. He has been involved with BLT for many years and was especially busy around the time of the move to our new premises in 1974 when he made his debut in A Flea in her Ear. He then appeared in Guys and Dolls, which was the last show in the old premises in 1974.

David is a past chairman of BLT and his wife Catherine is currently BLT secretary. David is a well established and accomplished BLT member and West Riding actor. He appeared most recently in Underground for BLT, in pantomime at BAOS and Great Horton’s The Likes of Us.

Phil is well known to audiences at BLT for his appearances on stage over several years. He appeared in Victor/Victoria alongside Sam Ball, Peter Hall and Tim Lobley, and more recently in Visiting Mr Green, ‘Allo ‘Allo, Dead Funny, The Taming of the Shrew, Season’s Greetings and the Studio production of Art, with Gareth James. Off stage, he is often in the control box operating lights and effects and has just finished his year as Chairman of the Theatre.

Nurse Plimpton in Mindgames
Not only is this Selina’s acting debut with BLT, it is her first acting role on a main house stage. Her previous experience has been as a drama teacher with Holy Family School, Keighley, working on all aspects of school productions and small acting parts with Churches Together, Haworth. One of her favourite pastimes is ballroom and modern dancing, another is travelling. She spent her honeymoon ‘back packing’ down the east coast of Africa. Whilst travelling in Pakistan, Selina visited Punjab – her father’s birthplace.

Phil has been involved in several productions at BLT, beginning with Dry Rot September 2003. He was Peter the Painter in Sweet William and Herr Flick in ‘Allo ‘Allo, a part he made his own and which he played to maximum effect.

After a busy year playing with other local societies, namely Keighley, Ilkley and Yeadon, Laura returns to BLT to play Mrs Pike. She was last seen here in Present Laughter.

Charles in Lust in The Dust
A newcomer to the BLT stage this season who brings with him a wealth of experience earned with Keighley Playhouse. Gerard has written a musical based on the Cottingley Fairies which has been performed at the Bingley Arts Centre.

A big fan of Agatha Christie novels, David is pleased to be a member of this cast. He has traditionally been associated with musicals rather than plays, although he says that as he gets older plays are becoming infinitely more attractive as they have no song and dance routines! He was last seen here in Present Laughter and in Something’s Afoot in 2008.

Private Pike in Dad's Army
Neil started his acting career in the Green Room (as Kaleidoscope was then called) in 1973 and Safter many performances at Bradford Playhouse has returned to the Bingley Stage. He is now 49 and will be playing a 20 year old, but points out that Ian Lavender was 42 when he played Pike!

Inspector Lord in Spider's Web
Tim has appeared in a variety of roles for BLT over several years. He, too, appeared in Victor/Victoria with Sam Ball, Peter Hall and Phil Holbrough. Since then he has featured in Double Double, Death of a Salesman, Sweet William and most recently as Henry Lyppiat in Present Laughter. He has also appeared for Saddleworth Players and Keighley Playhouse.

We welcome Lois who is making her BLT debut in this production. She began her acting career by studying drama at Parkside Secondary School at both GCSE and A Level.
Alison Main
Mercedes in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
Alison's role in "A Christmas Carol" was a welcome return to comedy after her last BLT role as the cold murderess in Ladies in Retirement. Alison feels that acting is a continuation of her day job teaching English as a foreign language which provides valuable inspiration for roles requiring an accent.

Since joining BLT last year Rebecca has done much work backstage including sound, props and was ASM for Mindgame. This will be the first time she has trod the boards since her school days.

Felicity in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
A recently joined member of Kaleidoscope who took part in this year's Mini Youth Drama Festival in York and is making her adult debut this season in A Christmas Carol. Kat is a member of the Bradford Youth Players and an assistant Ballroom/Latin dance teacher and will be taking her Grade 8 LAMDA exams this year.

Robin is heavily involved with BLT both on and off stage, and has been for many years. He most recently directed A Month of Sundays. Previously he has directed We Happy Few, Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting on a Green Park Bench and Good Things. He had cameo roles in the latter two plays, but we will be seeing much more of him on stage in this production.

Elgin in Spider's Web and Mr Gordon in Dad's Army
Stephen is frequently involved in BLT productions, either on, or back stage. He is a valuable member of the set-building team and designed the set for Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting on a Green Park Bench. He works on Props and will sometimes greet you as you arrive at the theatre as he takes his turn as Front of House Manager. On stage he has appeared in a variety of character roles, most recently as Reverend Wood in Jane Eyre.

Andrew made his BLT debut in this season's production of Underground but has formerly appeared in Keighley with David Knight's Comedy Players in a variety of comedy sketches. He also has connections with Keighley junior group HYT.

Rebecca has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for amateur theatre, having begun dancing lessons aged 4, before progressing to drama schools at the age of 11. This summer was spent teaching in Drama Workshops with the Double Take Drama School. A pupil at Oakbank School, Rebecca is studying for an A Level in performing arts and has been involved both backstage and on stage at Keighley Playhouse playing roles in Gingerbread Lady and Blood Brothers.

Pippa Hailsham Brown in Spider's Web
This is Grace’s debut on BLT’s main house stage, although she appeared in the Kaleidoscope production of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales last year, taking the part of Lady Rowena Vixen. She has been with Kaleidoscope for about 6 years and has recently passed her Grade 6 LAMDA exam. She appeared as a Victorian school-girl at the Saltaire Festival in the play Schooling Miss Martha, which was written and produced by Harriet Townsend. We wish Grace all the best for her future acting endeavours!

A man of many parts, Jeff’s last plays were ‘Allo ‘Allo and The Taming of the Shrew. Jeff has for many years been the theatre’s House Manager.

Paula was doing props for Underground in October when a member of cast was taken ill; she had a script thrust in her hand and found herself on stage. By the end of the run she was word perfect. Since then she has worked on sound for The Christmas Carol and The Beggar’s Opera.

Mrs. Reece in F.A.H.E.T.W.G.D.S. production of A Christmas Carol
Hardly needing any introduction to BLT regulars, Gilly has a host of fine theatrical performances on both sides of the footlights behind her. Last season she played Marjorie in Good Things and directed I'll be Back Before Midnight here at BLT. In Dad’s Army she once more demonstrates that her versatility knows no bounds with her musical accompaniment to the antics of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard.

Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice
Although this is Lee’s first production with BLT he has been involved in local amateur theatre, mainly with Ilkley Playhouse, since February 2007. His most recent performance for Ilkley was as Jake in the Neil Simon play Jake’s Woman, September 2009. Two further performances to his credit are Danny in The Puppet Man by Russell Raintree, November 2008, and Guy Haines in Strangers on a Train by Craig Warner at The Carriageworks, Leeds.

David Templeton
Alexander Howard in Underground, Mark Styler in Mindgame and Director Spider's Web
David is one of the more accomplished and indispensable members of BLT! As well as being joint ticket secretary and a trustee of the theatre, he regularly acts, directs, and stage manages productions. He is also involved in Keighley and Ilkley Playhouses. He has had a particularly busy time since last summer; he directed Present Laughter, the final play of last season, and has appeared this season, as the villainous Alexander Howard in Underground, and as Mark Styler in Mindgame.
Yvonne Templeton
Mrs Baker in Month of Sundays
Another valuable member of the BLT team, Yvonne shares the season ticket duties with her husband David, makes her presence felt in both the props, (Mindgame / Spider’s Web) and wardrobes (Allo Allo) departments as well as stage management. On top of all these duties she finds time to act in many plays, including the likes of, Bad Blood, and The Weekend.

Dennis has been very involved with Bingley Operatic Society and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society where he has played many roles. He has also played various small parts for BLT from time to time.
Muriel Thomas
Mildred Peake in Spider's Web
Muriel brings a wealth of skill and experience to this role, having been involved in amateur theatre for over 50 years, both acting and directing. She has done the majority of her work for Bradford Playhouse (now The Priestley), and Calverley Players. She has taken on musical roles for several Bradford societies, and directed Me and my Girl for Pudsey Trinity. For BLT she appeared in Not Now Darling, Stringer’s Last Stand, Alan Bennet’s Green Forms and A Visit from Miss Prothero. More recently she was seen in We Happy Few and Ladies in Retirement.
Richard Thompson
Director in Mindgames
Having started out as a ‘juvenile lead’, Richard has been a member of BLT for the past 30 years and involved in most areas of the theatre both on stage and backstage. According to Richard, although he has lit more plays than he cares to think about, his most challenging - stretching his creativity - was this season’s Underground. Always the perfectionist, “which is a good thing” he says. He has lit shows for other companies both in Yorkshire and elsewhere and has been a member of the Association of Lighting Designers for the past sixteen years.
Kathryn Tonks
Elizabeth Snowden in Underground
Kathryn is a newcomer to BLT but has previously appeared in many musicals and plays with other local society's, particularly her "home" society of Buttershaw St. Paul's. Kathryn's first appearance on the amateur stage came at the age of 2!
Richard Walsh
Director Dad's Army
This is Richard’s first production here at BLT. As a member of Keighley Playhouse for many years Richard has directed Beyond Reasonable Doubt and most recently Moon over Buffalo. Richard was delighted to be asked to direct Dad’s Army as he is a great fan of the TV series and in fact has included many of the well known characters in a theme he wrote, which was performed by his own professional Murder Mystery Company, Dial M for Murder. Several BLT members are active actors in his company.

Jill is making her very welcome debut with BLT but has appeared at Keighley Playhouse and Yeadon AODS. Both her daughters, Beth and Emily, are members of Kaleidoscope.

A regular on stage at BLT as well as being a member of the reading and casting committee along with his wife Gilly Rogers. Most recently for BLT played the boorish caravanner Grant in last season's production of Perfect Pitch.
Guy Wilman
Mr Bennet in Pride and Prejudice
Guy is well known to both BLT and Keighley Playhouse audiences; a seasoned actor who has made numerous appearances with both theatres. Recently he gave a memorable performance as Norman alongside June Driver’s portrayal of Ethel in On Golden Pond at Keighley Playhouse. Appearances in other plays include An Inspector Calls, Quartet and A Servant to Two Masters. In Pride and Prejudice he is reunited on stage with Sue Wood who plays Mrs Bennet. They also acted together in Memory of Water.
Katrina Wood
Fliss in Lust in The Dust
Katrina made a big impression on her BLT debut last season as Jan in I'll be Back Before Midnight. Although a relatively recent recruit to BLT, Katrina has had much experience in plays and musicals with other groups around the region.
Sue Wood
Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice
Sue joined BLT in 1977, since when she has been involved is some exciting and challenging roles. Her latest part was Mary in Memory of Water. Guy Wilman played her partner. Her favourite role was Helen in A Nightingale Sang where Phil Jordan (Mr Collins) played opposite her as her love interest. She has also directed two BLT Studio plays, written by local playwright Amanda Collins, The Colour of Contradiction and News.
